No delivery to my order

I ordered a couple of tea cups and saucers, in the amount of $89.97 on July 16. As of today, August 26, 2016, I have not received my order.

I sent an email and called their number, but there was no response. They DID CHARGE my credit card immediately and I asked them to refund me my money, as I no longer wanted to do business with them. No response. I believe this company used our money to purchase the merchandise and keep a large percentage for themselves.

I have called the Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau in their small community, to no avail.

They are nothing but a bunch of thieves that NEED TO GO TO JAIL.

The Bowl Company Shipping Service Review from Tifton, Georgia

I have placed two orders with the bowl company. The first in December of 2015, in which i ordered 15 pieces of spode china.

Over the next few months, i received 10 of the pieces-leaving them owing me 5. The total of the goods still owed to me, comes to $318.79. The last correspondence i had with them stated that these 5 pieces would be back in stock in July, and be shipped to me. I start trying to contact them in the month of august, to check the status, and receive no response to my calls or emails.

To top that off, i had a second order, in the amount of $80. When this order never arrives, i email them to check the expected shipping date. I get a very short response, saying they've cancelled my order. They cancelled my order, but did not refund my $80.

Once again, they dont answer mg emails asking about the refund. Today i tried calling again, to check on both orders.

Their phone line was disconnected, website shut down, facebook deactivated.....no way to contact them. All the while, they owe me nearly $400.

Fraud alert - do not use The Bowl Company in Brewster, New York!! Bought a bunch of china from this company, when weeks had passed after the promised delivery date, I started calling and emailing.

I never got any response (despite always being assured I'd get one within a business day), other than a cancellation. Cancellation happened over a month ago, and they STILL haven't refunded me. Stay FAR, FAR away for your safety!

Just checked online, their website is down so maybe they have decided to close up. Glad my credit card company is able to handle this, as I'd probably never see my money back otherwise.

I had the same experience! I hope they are out of business. I contacted the Chamber of Commerce who claimed to be a friend of the owner but I never go a response for either one.

I have reason to believe The Bowl Company has folded and stolen our money. I am willing to join a lawsuit if there are enough complaintants and someone willing to head up the suit. I am super pissed. Ordered a gift for my sister over 7 weeks ago. Sent a "where's my order" inquiry 4 weeks later and got a delayed response that said "your order should be shipping in the next couple of days." ***. Shady. I should have known. I'd placed the same order a couple of months prior, and although they were slow, the shipment arrived in great condition. They processed my payment immediately and never shipped. I can no longer access the website, and both numbers have been disconnected. They deserve to be taken down.

I would absolutely be willing to. I placed two orders with them.

One order was partially fulfilled, with them saying the other items would be in stock, and ready to ship, by July. The second order was "cancelled", however they never refunded my money or would answer my calls or emails, asking for my refund. The five pieces from the first order that were never fulfilled come to a total of $318.79. Second order was just over $80.

This morning, I decided that I'd had enough with trying to email them, and tried to call. Phone has been disconnected, facebook page deactivated, website down....no way to contact them!

It looks like they defrauded me as well --ordered two shipments to go out in early July. Assumed the recipients received my gifts--just found out no.

You're right--no contact available. Think I paid with amex so should be okay.

I am seriously questioning the legitimacy of this company. I placed an order on 8 July and received an email response the following day with an expected ship date of 18 Jul. 21 JulY I email with an inquiry, NO RESPONSE. 22 JulY I email again, NO RESPONSE. 26 Jul, I email with NO RESPONSE. They guarantee 1 day response to emails. I have called 15 times, no answer other than an automated message telling me to send them an email. Tell me, what am I supposed to think? They billed my credit card for $333 and I have no merchandise and ZERO communication. I am contacting the BBB and my credit card company and chalking this up to FRAUD!

I ordered Danske Fjord dishes from 3 companies to complete my set. I had also purchased these dishes from Bed and Bath, and Amazon. All arrived within 1 week. It has been over 3 weeks and I still do not have my items. What is going on with this company?! These items are bowls. Serving bowls. I could have purchased them anywhere else that sells Danske, due to shipping costs and the bottom line, I took the chance on an unfamiliar company and now I have no dishes with company coming into town in 2 days. I have emailed and called. They do not respond or pick up their phones. My credit card was charged the moment the order was placed. I will not be using this company again and would not advise it to anyone.

I am having a similar experience with customer service. No one answers when I call (all extensions lead to the same voicemail).

I have called at least 10 times all through the last 4 days.

I sent an email 4 days ago and have left 2 messages and no response whatsoever. I feel scammed.

I ordered two baby cups to be engraved with monograms and birth dates for gifts. Bob took my order over the phone (and charged order before we were off the phone), I approved engraving text by email and waited for order to arrive. On one cup the engraving was not centered on the cup and on the other the engraving was at the rim of the cup. I called Bob immediately and described the dilemma. The off centered one was a non-issue and the other one as long as the letters and birth date were correct he couldn't do anything about it. The picture of The Bowl Company on line leads you to believe it shouldn't be too hard to speak to the owner but according to Bob that wasn't possible. I asked Bob if he was the owner and he said no. Nor was it possible to speak to customer service only email communication with them. Google the company and guess what, ol' Bob Dumont and wife Stacy are the owners, customer service and I'll bet Bob handles the engraving too. Bob did not care that the one cup could not be given as a gift and refused to replace it. Instead he refunded me $24 for the engraving off of a $71 purchase. Don't be tempted by pricing to do business with Bob. He's unethical and unprofessional and all the negative reviews on line support that claim.

1. The package was more than a month late. I was not informed until i asked them about it. 2.The items did not come with a retail box. The product page did not say it came without a retail box. I assumed it would. Anyways, a bit tacky to see $50 china in a plastic bag and bubble wrap. 3.The biggest gripe that i have is that I paid $20 for gift wrapping that was useless. Surely if I buy 4 of the same item it's normal to think that i would be giving it to 4 different people? I am at a loss to understand the reasoning of taping two items and wrapping the bow around them! So i thought to myself, okay lets cut the bow and at least use the wrapping paper. But I was wrong... they put tape between the two items (and at all 4 corners) which tore the wrapping paper no matter how carefully i peeled it. So, after wasting $20 dollars on the gift wrap service I had to wrap it myself. I emailed them concerning this (with photos included) but I have not heard from them.

This customer was informed several times, twice by email and once in a phone conversation about the delay of the item. The gift wrap was as she instructed so she could reduce the ship wrap charge.

She ordered loose dinner plates, which we individually gift boxed and wrapped. The boxes were taped together, per our discussion to avoid movement in the box with a bow around them. From the picture she clearly pulled them apart and then asked us to refund her charges. We have tens of thousands of satisfied customers.

We do not participate in ratings here, and as you can see have very few complaints as the complaints on this form go back many years despite tens of thousands of customers.

While we strive to satisfy every customer, there are some nowadays which are competitors posing as customers or people that are just using negative reviews as a way to get refunds. If you require hundreds of great references, please contact us and we can provide you pages of great references.

Unprofessional service and unethical billing

Thanksgiving I ordered almost $400 worth of merchandise as a Christmas gift. My credit card was charged immediately so I assumed the items were on their way. A week before Christmas, still no dishes, I contacted them asking for a status on the shipment. They said it was on its way. A few days later, a portion of the order did arrive. When I inquired about the remaining items, I was told there were issues with the manufacturer, Juliska, and that I should have the rest in a short order. Move to the end of January, still no receipt. After contacting them again, I was told they would be shipped the first of March. (Keep in mind this order was paid for 3 months earlier.) Feb. 25th I received an email saying the dishes were shipped and would arrive on the 27th. Feb. 27th - no delivery. Using the tracking no. on the UPS website, I see that while a tracking no. was issued the pkg. was not sent. I contacted them via 'Live Chat' (For some reason they only want to communicate using email or chat. When I had called previously they would not give me any info. over the phone and said they would only respond using email.) I seriously question the educational level of their employees as the conversation made little sense and the spelling was so poor it was humorous. They apologized for the "inconvenience" and said it would be shipped right away. They say they charge for orders right away to avoid credit card fraud (?) as to other etailers (I have never found this to be the case.) and that they had been keeping me informed of the order status. I can assure you there was never any updates that were not initiated by me. Their prices are good but their billing practices and customer service are questionable and in my opinion, unethical. I assume they are simply a small store that inventories very little. They place orders with manufacturers only after they receive an order from a customer. They sat on my money for 3 months which makes me question their financial stability. I plan on reporting this to the NY AG and Amazon.

The same darn thing happened to me on Sharper Image. BEWARE companies whose websites look like the real company but aren't.

Look very, very closely at the page to make sure it is the real deal in the address line. I will never see my $400 again. You have been scammed in the latest BS type transaction. The money was *instantly* taken from my account, but they just kept running me around and around until I was ready to throw my computer on the floor.

This is what they do for pleasure with people who are trusting. I feel for you. When you call them, it is the same ones who just ripped you off.

That is their M.O. They keep you going around and around in circles but you will not get your merch.

This review is a fraud and a competitor. In the era of the internet, we cannot hide anything!

This "customer" could have easily contacted the manufacturer to see if the item was out of stock and they would have confirmed it. But I think they already knew that. We informed them many times of the stock condition and once again, if they didn't believe us all they had to do was go to the manufacturer website (or any competitor) to see that it was also unavailable. Buy with confidence.

I made an online purchase for two items last week. One of the items, a serving tray from Mariposa, arrived this week. The other item was not included within this order. I was shocked when I opened the package to find the actual Mariposa box to be quite damaged. Today I called The Bowl Company and spoke with Bob in customer service. Bob was condescending at best, and he told me that actual box didn't matter as long as the tray was undamaged. Unfortunately, I purchased this item as a gift but it looks like it's been used or a re-gifted item. I can actually stick three fingers through the tear on the side of the box. Bob refused to let me speak with his supervisor but did offer me a $10 credit to buy a new box. He also refused to pay for return shipping for the tray which I'm guessing would be around $20-$25. I will never do business with this company again. I wish I had read reviews from others before I placed this order. As a result of this shoddy customer service I cancelled the remaining portion of my original order. On a side note, Bob was able to describe where the damage was on the box even before I told him. Clearly, this company unloaded their problem onto me. I am enclosing a photo of the box. Buyers, you've been warned - beware!

Customer was given a 20% off discount and $10 for the box. Customer agreed to that solution as they admitted the tray was in perfect condition.

Customer then wanted a new box over-nighted plus the discounts, which we would not do. All items are direct from manufacturer. We service thousands of customers each month, but we do not participate in PissedConsumer reviews. I ordered items that I was charged for them months ago. However, only a portion of my order ever arrived and I had to keep inquiring as to when I would ever see the rest of it. Then when they told me a date for shipment, the date kept getting pushed back. Then when I said I wanted a refund on the items that they had not delivered after I had waited months for them, they would not honor doing that. The customer service could not be empowered to ship ship a substitution or to give a refund on the items that were out of stock. Therefore, I am still waiting for a resolution and they still have my money.

Hoping for a good experience

I placed an order with the bowl company online. At checkout it does state that it can take up to 30 seconds and do not press the button more than once. It redirected me back to my shopping cart which was still full. I tried to call them however their hours of operation are between 9-4:30 and it was after the time. I did appericate how easily available the phone number was. i Called them the next morning and a man named Bob answered the phone and was decently pleasant. Even without an order number he was able to look up my uncompleted order in seconds with my name. He was able to inform me that my card did not go through. I wish the website would have informed me of that seeing that i only entered in a wrong number off of the card. One of the items i placed an order for said it would be available in 5 days. I asked Bob if that meant that it was not in stock. He assured me it would be here before Christmas. Seeing reviews on this site does concern me and i do hope it ships and gets here in time seeing as the return policy is difficult and other people have had many issues getting out of stock items. Overall though the service was helpful and they have great prices.
